What does it mean, a European Commission "with a very political nature"?

Experts noted the message of President Juncker that it is his desire that the "European Commission will have a very political nature". Member countries have reacted to this message offering mostly politicians as Commissioners, albeit some less experienced in the mysteries of EU policies. As a result, the current team of Commissioners is more connected with the political systems of European capitals.

The discussion about the accountability of the Commissioners remains a subject of notoriety in the European public sphere. With this politicization of the college of Commissioners we aid in indirect subordination. Not to the governments of the Member States, but to the national political parties from which the European Commissioner comes from. We hope that the upcoming national elections will not damage anything.

At least now we know that Juncker assumes political responsibility with his team. European political parties strongly supported this formula, implicitly witnessing a consolidation of (partisan) political structures at Community level.
As I said, the national parties will not disappear, but their role will change and adapt in the future. It's the same concept showing that nation states do not disappear in the EU, as predicted post-modernists, but their duties will change.
