În România
grupurile de interese sunt, în general, percepute ca aducătoare de rău, iar
lobby-ul are o notorietate dubioasă şi neserioasă. Activitatea acestora însă
joacă un rol important în munca deputaţilor europeni. În limbajul de Bruxelles
întâlnim des expresii precum “grupul de interese din industria X s-a întâlnit
cu comisarul european Y”, fără absolut nici o problemă juridică şi nici măcar
de etică.
În Bruxelles
sunt aproximativ 3.000 de birouri ale asociaţiilor europene. Interacţionând
activ între 2001 şi 2010 cu acestea, şi având aproximativ 2.500 de întâlniri în
care am discutat despre strategia lor de
comunicare, voi încerca acum o analiză sectoarială a principalelor grupuri de
interese. Majoritatea desfăşoară o activitate în mai multe sectoare ale
politicii europene. Am căutat însă să plasez o organizaţie în cea mai
reprezentativă sau maxim în cadrul a două politici europene reprezentative.
