NEW: Dan Luca Director at Rud Pedersen Public Affairs in Brussels

Starting in April 2026, I joined the Rud Pedersen Public Affairs team. Founded in 2003 in Sweden by Morten Rud Pedersen, it is now a leading European public affairs consultancy. It has 19 offices across Europe, with a strong presence in Brussels since 2017.

We are thrilled to welcome Dan Luca to Rud Pedersen Brussels as Director. Dan joins us after an impressive 25-year career at Euractiv, most recently serving as Vice President Strategic Innovations. Over the years, he has developed remarkable expertise in EU affairs, strategic communications, business development, stakeholder relations and network-building in Brussels. His experience at the intersection of policy, media and advocacy is rare and incredibly valuable. Dan’s deep knowledge of the Brussels landscape and longstanding relationships across the EU affairs community will be a major strength for our team and for the organisations we support. We are very pleased to have him with us and look forward to working together”, mentioned the management of Rud Pedersen Public Affairs.

It is a privilege to join the team at Rud Pedersen Public Affairs in Brussels, an organization with a strong and well-established impact in the European business community. At a time when the European Union is redefining its position in the global competitiveness landscape, meaningful stakeholder engagement is more important than ever.

I look forward to bringing my more than 25 years of experience in strategic communication to further strengthen Rud Pedersen’s mission—supporting the success of the European Union and contributing to the long-term prosperity of European society.

 About Dan LUCA:

Dan Luca is a Romanian-born expert in European affairs who has been active in Brussels since 1997. His career spans policy analysis, media, and strategic communication within the European Union ecosystem.

He holds a Master’s degree from the ULB Institute of European Studies and earned a PhD in International Relations and European Studies, with a specialization in communication.

In 2020, he published the book Mapping the Influencers in EU Policies with Palgrave Macmillan, examining networks of influence in EU decision-making.

Professionally, Luca has spent over 25 years with Euractiv, a major media platform covering EU policies. During his time there, he held senior roles including Director of Business Development, overseeing operations across 12 offices in EU capitals, and Vice President for Strategic Innovations. His work involved analyzing long-term trends (“meta-trends”) affecting European policies and stakeholders, particularly corporations and trade associations.

More recently, he coordinated the 2025 study Beyond the Institutions: How Associations Keep Europe Connected, which explores the role of associations in European competitiveness.
